Rental Packages and rates for La Casa Perlita
Low season, April 1 to October 31
$225/night, 3 night minimum, up to 4 guests (two bedrooms only with the third bedroom locked off. Use of the third bedroom is at 6 guest rate.). La Casa Perlita can accommodate up to 6 guests for $300/night. Additional days may be available at the daily rate, availability permitting.
High season, November 1 to March 31
$2250/week, one week minimum (two bedrooms only with the third bedroom locked off. Use of the third bedroom is at 6 guest rate.). La Casa Perlita can accommodate up to 6 guests for $2700/week. Additional days may be available at the daily rate, availability permitting.
Holiday season
$2850/week, one week minimum (two bedrooms with the third bedroom locked off. Use of the third bedroom is at 6 guest rate.) La Casa Perlita can accommodate up to 6 guests for $3250/week. Additional days may be available at the daily rate, availability permitting. Holiday rates apply to Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, including 1 week before and 1 week following the date of the holiday.
Tu Casa (Your House) Privacy Package
One couple only. Complete seclusion. Your house! This includes the privacy of the entire house including the owners' upstairs master suite, roof top garden and fountain area, excluding the two locked-off guest bedrooms. This package is for a rental of one week at the rate of $1375, $1950 or $2550, per week, respectively, depending upon season. Four nights may be available on a limited basis, depending upon rental schedules. Additional days may be available at the daily rate availability permitting.
La Luna de Miel (Honeymoon)/ Lover's Getaway/Valentine's Day package
This includes the privacy of the entire house including the upstairs master suite, roof top garden and fountain area, excluding the two locked off guest bedrooms. In addition, this includes beautiful flower displays, a welcome bottle of fine Champagne (Veuve Cliquot, for example ), a sampling of excellent chocolates from Chocolate Maya,
a horse-drawn carriage ride through Merida and a special Yucatecan dinner prepared en casa for a romantic evening. This package is for a rental of one week at the rate of $2100, $2800 or $3300 per week, respectively, depending upon season. Four nights may be available on a limited basis, depending upon rental schedules. Additional days may be available at the daily rate availability permitting.

Reservations and payment
A 50% deposit of the rental amount is due within 5 days of notification by Casa Perlita confirming the dates and reservation request. The remaining 50% balance is due three (3) weeks prior to arrival at Casa Perlita. In the event that your reservation is for a period occurring three (3) weeks or less prior to arrival date then payment is due in full, including the security and cleaning deposit. All confirmed reservations are also subject to a refundable security and cleaning deposit. [see below]
Specific instructions regarding deposits, a simple agreement, a receipt for deposits and restatement of cancellation policies will be emailed to clients upon confirmation of a reservation.
Payment Methods
Casa Perlita accepts US Bank checks denominated in US$ or wire transfer directly to our account. Casa Perlita also accepts credit cards through PayPal. There is a 4% surcharge for payment by credit card. Bank/wire transfers do not incur the surcharge nor do payments from a PayPal account.
Cleaning and Security Deposit and Electricity
A $500 refundable deposit is due at the same time as the final balance payment. This deposit covers the replacement of lost and/or damaged items (inventoried by the property manager) and electricity usage. A meter reading will be provided at the beginning and end of the rental period. Move In and Move Out cleaning is included in the cost of the rental, however excessive damage or wear to linens and/or upholstered furniture will be deducted from this deposit. [Daily maid service is not included in the normal rental, but may be available at an extra cost with prior arrangement. The property manager can also see to providing other services, e.g., kitchen service, at an extra cost.]
Normally the Cleaning and Security deposit will be refunded to the client within five (5) days of their departure minus any charges as indicated plus electrical. A meter reading will be provided at the beginning and end of the rental. Note: This has been determined to be the most fair manner to manage electricity. Electricity is expensive in Merida and the house has five air conditioners plus several fountains and television systems. Leaving everything running can produce quite an astounding bill.
Cancellation Policy
In the event that Tenant cancels the reservation for any reason, a $250 cancellation fee will be charged. If the cancellation occurs at least thirty (30) days prior to the Check-in Date and Owner is unable to re-rent the Rental Property by Tenant's Check-In Date, Tenant will be liable for fifty (50%) percent of the rental costs. If the cancellations occurs less than thirty (30) days of the Check-In Date, all monies paid by Tenant will be forfeited if the Rental Property is not re-rented by the Check-In Date. Owner will make all reasonable efforts to re-rent the Rental Property by the Check-In Date. We encourage you to buy travel insurance at the time of booking in the event you must cancel and forfeit funds. Travelex, for example, offers several different types of travel insurance. Pets and children
La Casa Perlita cannot accomodate pets. In addition, the house is not appropriate for children under the age of 12 because of the unfenced pool.
